Hello, I would like to know something more about the Matching processing technique on Photomod to get auto-tie points for the aerotriangulation. I wonder if, to use comercial cameras on UAV, is better to use a grayscale image from RAW to avoid the errors from interpolation of Bayer filter to get true colors.
So is that right way to proceed? First, transform inital raw image to grayscale to perform the AT, and then the RGB to stereodraw and make the orthophoto. Does not t it? Is not a great improve?
Thanks.

Hello, Francisco. A presence or an absence of Bayer filter seems not to influence upon matching procedure in PHOTOMOD. A number of auto-tie points and their measurement quality would be similar. That`s why an issue of whether to use grayscale or color images depends on your specific tasks. On the face of it a technique you wrote about is acceptable. |
